Memoria del proyecto

Nuestra iniciativa comienza su camino cuando nuestra profesora de Ciencias Sociales, Teresa Carracedo, nos comenta en clase el concurso Euroscola. En ese momento estábamos dando el tema de la Unión Europea y nos pareció una manera distinta de mejorar nuestros conocimientos sobre la Unión.

Our initiative begins it’s journey when our Geographie teacher, Teresa Carracedo, talked about the Euroscola competition. In that moment we were learning the European Union lesson and we thought it will improve our knowledges about the Union.

Lo primero fue preparar el tipo test. Fue toda una experiencia, ir leyendo el cómic y esperar cada capítulo.

At first, prepare our test. It was an unforgettable experience, reading the comic and waiting for the next chapter.

A medida que avanzaba el tiempo fuimos dando cuerpo a nuestro trabajo. En él queríamos tener siempre presente el Parlamento Europeo y su labor legislativa. Por este motivo nos propusimos realizar distintas actividades. Las primeras estuvieron centradas en la difusión de nuestro trabajo y de las instituciones europeas, centrándonos en el triángulo institucional (Comisión, Consejo y Parlamento).

As the time passed, we were more interested about our project. We wanted the European Parliament and it’s legislative to be the most important thing of this project, so we proposed doing different activities. The first activities were focused on the dissemination of our process and the european institutions, emphasizing the institutional triangle (Comission, Council and Parliament).

­­­­La preparación del material para la exposición mural y el café-tertulia nos permitió aumentar nuestro conocimiento sobre estas instituciones y sus funciones.

The preparation of the material for the mural exposition and the Coffee-Gathering allowed us to improve our knowledge about these institutions and their functions.

Pero nuestro objetivo seguía siendo el Parlamento y su trabajo. ¿Cómo saber si los ciudadanos lo conocen? Pensamos en realizar una encuesta para saber hasta qué punto los ciudadanos y ciudadanas conocen el trabajo de la Eurocámara.

But our objective was the Parliament and it’s labor. How to know if the citizens know about it? We thought about doing a survey so that we will see if the citizens know the labor of the Eurochamber.

Salimos a la calle y llegamos a realizar un total de 180 encuestas, siendo los resultados sorprendentes en algunas de las cuestiones que planteamos.

We went out and we collect 180 surveys, the results were amazing in some of the questions we proposed.

También han sido varias las entrevistas  que hemos realizado. Destacamos las efectuadas a D. Enrique Barón, Expresidente del Parlamento Europeo, y a D. José Antonio Blasco Martínez, Director General de la Administración Local y Relaciones Institucionales. El objetivo que nos planteamos con las mismas fue conocer, de primera mano, cómo las políticas europeas nos afectan a los ciudadanos.

Also we have done some interviews, we interview D. Enrique Barón, Former President of the European Parliament, and D. José Antonio Blasco Martínez, General Director of the Local Administration and Institutionals Relations. The second objective that we proposed was knowing how the european policies affect citizens.

Para conocer el programa Erasmus+ acudimos a distintas páginas web oficiales y elaboramos un resumen sobre sus características y las novedades de este año. Pero quisimos saber más, y éste fue el  motivo por el que realizamos una entrevista a dos antiguos alumnos de nuestro centro que han participado en Erasmus. Nos contaron su experiencia y nos animaron a seguir adelante y poder participar, en un futuro, en este programa educativo.

To know the Erasmus+ program we surf different websites and we developed a resume about their features and news along this year. But we wanted to know more, and this was the reason that we have interviewed two of our former students of our college that they have participate in Erasmus. They talked about their experience and they encourage us to go ahead and participate, in the future, in this educational program.

Hemos podido participar en dos actos organizados por el centro de Europe Direct Región de Murcia. El primero fue la charla-debate “Hablemos de Europa” en la que intervinieron periodistas de prestigio como Anna Bosch (corresponsal de RTVE), Diego Carcedo (Presidente de la Asociación de Periodistas Europeos) o Enrique Barón (Expresidente del Parlamento Europeo). También nos recibieron en su centro y nos impartieron dos charlas, una referida a la ciudadanía europea y otra relacionada con nuestros derechos como ciudadanos europeos.

We participate in two events organised by the Europe Direct Murcia centre. The first event was the Gathering-discuss “Talking about Europe” in which Anna Bosch (RTVE corresponsal) prestigious journalist, Diego Carcedo (European journalists association president) or Enrique Barón (Former President of the European Parliament) participated. Also, they received us in their centre and they imparted us two lessons, one of them was directed to the European citizens and the second one was related to our rights being European citizens.

Nuestra participación en Euroscola ha tenido una importante repercusión en distintos medios de comunicación. Hemos publicado nuestra iniciativa en el periódico local “La voz de Fortuna”, en el diario regional “La Verdad” y también destacamos la entrevista realiza en Onda Regional, donde pudimos explicar qué era Euroscola y el trabajo que hemos realizado.

Pero, después de realizar todas estas actividades, ¿qué podemos extraer como conclusión?. Esfuerzo, constancia y cooperación pueden definir nuestra iniciativa y esto nos ha enriquecido enormemente.

Our participation in Euroscola had an important  repercussion in different  communication medias. We have published our initiative in the local newspaper “The voice of Fortuna”, in the regional journal “La Verdad” and also, we emphasized the interview with Onda Regional, where we explained what was Euroscola and the process we have done.
But, once we have finished all these activities, what can we deduce as conclusion?.
Effort, constancy and cooperation can define our initiative and this enriched us very much.

A lo largo de estas últimas semanas hemos conocido mejor las instituciones europeas y, sobre todo, el Parlamento Europeo. Pero, ¿conocen realmente los ciudadanos su labor?.

La encuesta nos ha mostrado que los ciudadanos desconocen el trabajo realizado por los eurodiputados en el Parlamento Europeo y, ni siquiera, conocen los grupos políticos que forman parte de la misma.

In the last weeks we have been more interested in the European institutions and, emphasizing the European Parliament. But, do the European citizens know it’s labour?

The survey showed us that the European citizens don’t know the European duty labour of the members of the Parliament in the European Parliament and, also, they don’t know the politician groups that are part of it.

¿Qué proponemos nosotros?

What do we propose?

Desde las instituciones deben seguir fomentando proyectos, concursos, programas,… que sigan concienciando sobre Europa. Pero, ¿y los ciudadanos?, ¿por qué no están informados?, ¿por qué no le llega la información?

The institutions have to continue promoting projects, competitions, programs… so that the citizens can know about Europe. But, what about the citizens? , why aren’t they informed?, why is the information not arriving?

Making Europe propone que la política europea no se vea en sentido nacional, es decir, que los eurodiputados sigan realizando un esfuerzo por contarnos el proyecto europeo. Que se comuniquen con nosotros en universidades, institutos, foros, charlas, debates,…

Making Europe propose that the European policy can’t be showed in national meaning, the euro members could continue doing an effort for informing us about the European project. They could inform us trough universities, colleges, forums, lessons, proceedings…

Pero los ciudadanos estamos obligados a escuchar, ser críticos y seguir creciendo como ciudadanos europeos.

But the European citizens are obligated to hear, be critical and continue growing like European citizens.
